Users can send and receive BTC to/from their CoinCorner account via the Lightning Network, a second-layer technology built on top of the Bitcoin network, instantly and with no fees from the Send & Receive page. More information can be found below.

 

Sending via Lightning

To send bitcoin you will need to go into the Send & Receive tab in the sidebar of your account, and you'll be in the Send tab by default. 

You can send via Lightning by generating a Lightning invoice for a specific amount of sats with the receiving wallet and pasting that invoice into the Recipient field, or entering a Lightning address or LNURL. If the invoice/address is valid then you will see a Lightning bolt image appear in the box.

If you raised an invoice then the Amount section will automatically populate with the invoiced amount of sats, but if you entered an address/LNURL then you will need to enter the amount of BTC you want to send. 

There will be no withdrawal fee as Lightning withdrawals are free, so when happy to proceed with the withdrawal click the Send button and approve the transaction by email if required.

 

Receiving via Lightning

To receive bitcoin you will need to go into the Send & Receive tab in the sidebar of your account, and click into the Receive tab. Click the Lightning bolt tab to receive bitcoin via Lightning rather than on-chain. 

You can scan the QR code to receive funds via your LNURL if you have one set up, or you copy and paste the Lightning address for your account in the box below.

 

If you want to create an invoice for a specific amount of sats then you can click the 'click here' link below that. This will give you the option of specifying the amount of sats you want to receive and a description if necessary.

Click 'Submit' and a Lightning invoice will be generated which can be paid by scanning the QR code or entering the text invoice when sending. The funds should reflect in your CoinCorner BTC balance almost immediately if the payment was made successfully.
