The CoinCorner mobile app lets users set a 4 digit pin code that allows them to gain access to the app in a secure way without having to enter their login details again on the login page.
While some phones will allow users to circumvent this through the use of biometrics (face or finger scans), the 4 digit code will be required to login if for any reason a user fails the biometric security checks.
Without passing the biometric checks or entering this 4 digit code a user will not be able to gain access to their account on the mobile app, so the user should always be sure they know the 4 digit code they selected when logging in to the app for the first time.
How do I reset my 4 digit pin if I can't login?
Should you forget your 4 digit pin you can reset it by tapping Forgot Passcode on the page where you are prompted to enter the code.
You will be taken back to the login page where you can enter your login details as normal, you'll then be taken to a screen where you are prompted to create a new pin.
Choose your new 4 digit pin to complete the login process and to login to your account. This new pin will now be the pin you need to enter to login going forward.
How do I change my pin from within the app?
Users are also to change their 4 digit pin from within the app if they have managed to login using a biometric check such as Face ID.
Tap the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen to be taken to the Settings page.
Tap the Change Pin button. You will be required to enter your existing pin, and once doing so will be asked to choose a new pin.
