As you will have seen, our new site is now live!
Part of our refresh has involved updating some of the processes associated with your CoinCorner account, so there will be steps you need to follow to ensure you are ready for these changes, steps that are outlined below:
Update your password
The first change you will come across will come in the form of a prompt to update the password to your CoinCorner account, we have updated the password requirements for our site to make your account even more secure.
Your CoinCorner password will now need to include a minimum of 8 characters, 1 upper case letter, 1 number and 1 special character (for example, T66hn3F!). The process to update your password is as follows:
Step One: Click 'Forgot Password?' link on the login page.
Step Two: Enter your registered email address and click 'Recover Password' to send yourself the password reset email.
Step Three: You will have been sent an email containing a link to reset your password. Check your emails and click 'Reset Password'.
Step Four: Enter your new password (ensuring it meets the requirements mentioned earlier), enter it again to confirm it and click 'Create New Password'.
Reset your Two-Factor Authentication
If you have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled on your account then you will also need to reset this before you can access your account again. It's a simple process to do so, and you can find a guide to the process below:
Step One: Login to your account as normal, entering your current 2FA code when prompted.
Step Two: Read the message on the next page and click 'I Understand' when you are happy to proceed.
Step Three: Scan the provisioning QR code to save your new 2FA code to your Google Authenticator app.
Step Four: Enter the new code displayed on the Google Authenticator app and click 'Verify'.
Step Five: If successful you will come to the following screen, read the message and click 'I Understand' to be taken to your account. Please ensure you delete your old CoinCorner authenticator code and use your new one for all future logins.
Generate a new receiving wallet address
The final step to ensure you are ready for the changes that will soon be implemented is to generate a new CoinCorner receiving wallet address. Again this is a quick and easy process, and a guide on how to do so can be found below:
Step One: Login to your account.
Step Two: Go to the Send/Receive page.
Step Three: Go to the 'Receive' tab.
Step Four: Generate a new wallet address.
Once you have generated your new wallet address make sure you use your new wallet address when sending to your CoinCorner account. Your old CoinCorner address will expire, and this means that no further deposits received into your old address will be applied to your account.
