Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security for your account. It makes it much harder for potential hackers to gain access to your account because, as well as having to know your email address and password, they would also need to have access to your mobile phone/device.
With 2FA enabled you will be asked to enter a unique, randomly generated code from the Google Authenticator app, as well as your email address and password, when logging in. This adds an additional layer of security to your account that we at CoinCorner highly recommend.
How do I enable Two-Factor Authentication?
You will firstly need to make sure you have the Google Authenticator app downloaded. This is the only authenticator app that works with our site.
2FA can be enabled from the Security tab in the Settings page of your account on the webpage. Click the Enable Authentication button and scan the QR code on the Google Authenticator app by tapping the symbol and then 'Scan a QR code'.
There will now be an entry for CoinCorner on the Google Authenticator app. Enter the code that's displayed in the box when prompted and click Verify to complete the process and set 2FA up on your account.
All future logins will require a code from the Google Authenticator app, so make sure you don't delete the app from your device or you'll need to go through the 2FA reset process.
