Verification basics

  • Updated

Account verification is required for any user who wants to use CoinCorner. After registering for an account you'll be asked to provide your verification documents straight away, and you won't be able to access your account until verified.

What documents are required?

You will be required to upload a proof of identity document first, and this will be checked within a few minutes by our automated system. If our automated system is unable to verify the document you have uploaded then it will be sent to our team for manual review.

We'll run your account through our automated address check software and if it passes no proof of address document will be required. You will be required to upload an address document as well if the automated address check fails.

Sometimes a selfie may also be required to verify your account, so you'll need to upload an image of yourself holding the documents explained on the page.

How do I verify my account?

Verifying your account is simple, you'll be asked to upload any required documents as part of the registration process.

If your documents are rejected by our team for any reason and you're asked to re-upload then you can simply login to your account and you'll be redirected straight to the page to upload whatever document is required.

How long does it take to get verified?

The verification process is largely automated, so as long as you pass all the automated checks then your account should be verified and up-and-running within a few minutes.

Any automated checks that are not passed will require our team to manually review your application. Standard processing hours for any applications requiring manual review are 9am to 5.30pm (UK time) Monday to Friday. Any applications received outside of those hours will be reviewed at the next opportunity.
